Engineering a new brand and message.

S8 Engineering

How do you build a brand for the world’s most complicated EPC projects?

S8 Engineering designs and builds processing plants — from improving the efficiency of existing facilities via modifications and expansions to full-scale new construction. They examine each and every angle of a project to determine and execute the most intelligently designed plan to meet budgetary, safety, and regulatory requirements. The solution for the world’s most complicated EPC projects. No surprises. Just solutions. Every time.

We had struggled with how to rebrand ourselves for some time and Marjoram Creative was able to come right in and help us find our new voice and identity.

Marketing Manager, S8 Engineering

The Challenge:

The organization needed focus. It had a new name and a story of ‘full-service construction capability anywhere you need them’ which was too broad to make an impact. S8 Engineering, originally a service offering, relied on the awareness of a well-established brand to carry its broad message but it needed to stand by itself. It needed to stand out in an already crowded industry.

The Strategy:

During the discovery process, we saw that reliability and trust were front and center in the minds of their ideal customer, so the focus turned to S8’s commitment to excellence, from concept to completion, to seeing things and solving them from “every angle”. The origins of their name— sulphur expertise—would be the basis for a new identity that would clearly communicate the company’s expertise and difference.

The Outcome:

The development of a global go-to-market messaging strategy and identity whose foundation came from the S8 advantage of being able to see problems from any angle. The modular aspect of the triangles can lead to creating a wide array of combinations with outlines, imagery, and color to create differing perspectives. This direction was a bold declaration of S8’s commitment to excellence — from concept to completion.

The careful guidance and advice given by their experienced team members moved so many of our programs from impossible to doable through discussion and concepts. They helped our customers win.
